For an even richer flavor, use dark or Dutch-processed cocoa powder. Sifting the confectioners' sugar prevents lumps in your frosting. If you don't have an electric mixer, you can make this frosting by hand, but it will require a bit more elbow grease! Store leftover frosting in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. Let it come to room temperature before using.
