In a small bowl, whisk together the onion powder, garlic powder, dried basil, dried oregano, and ground black pepper. (2 minutes)

Gradually whisk in the extra virgin olive oil and fresh lemon juice until well combined and emulsified. (3 minutes)

For best results, marinate the chicken for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours, in the refrigerator.
This marinade is also excellent for grilled vegetables or tofu.
Adjust the amount of lemon juice to your preference for a more or less tangy flavor.
Use fresh herbs if available, increasing the quantity to 1 tablespoon of each, finely chopped, for a more intense flavor.
