For a richer flavor, use whole milk ricotta cheese. Fresh spinach can be substituted with 10 ounces of frozen spinach, thawed and squeezed dry. Feel free to add other vegetables to the ricotta mixture, such as sautéed mushrooms or zucchini. For a more intense basil flavor, use fresh basil instead of dried. Chop it finely and add it to the ricotta mixture. Store leftover lasagna in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven or microwave.
