For a richer flavor, consider using smoked paprika instead of regular paprika. Serve with an assortment of crackers, baguette slices, or crudités for dipping. If you prefer a thicker dip, omit some or all of the reserved clam liquid. The dip can be prepared ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours. Stir well before serving.
