Stir in the red pepper flakes (if using). Add the cooked fettuccine and cooked chicken to the sauce. Toss to coat, adding a splash of reserved pasta water if needed to adjust the consistency.

For a richer flavor, use sun-dried tomatoes packed in oil.
Freshly grated Parmesan cheese will melt more smoothly than pre-shredded.
