Prepare Vinaigrette: In a separate bowl, whisk together the balsamic vinegar, olive oil, sugar, dried parsley, dried basil, pressed garlic, dried oregano, salt, and freshly ground black pepper. (3 minutes)

Assemble Salad: Drizzle the vinaigrette over the salad and toss gently to coat all the ingredients. Sprinkle with freshly grated Parmesan cheese before serving. (2 minutes)

For an extra layer of flavor, toast the pine nuts in a dry pan over medium heat for a few minutes until lightly golden.
If you don't have grilled chicken on hand, rotisserie chicken works great as a convenient substitute.
Feel free to adjust the amount of balsamic vinaigrette to your liking. You may not need to use all of it.
This salad can be served immediately or chilled for later. The flavors meld together beautifully as it sits.
