Follow The Directions

01

Step
5 mins

Preheat your grill to low heat (around 250-275°F or 120-135°C). (5 minutes)

02

Step
5 mins

Cut each rack of ribs in half for easier handling. Generously sprinkle steak seasoning all over the ribs. (5 minutes)

03

Step
5 mins

Place the ribs, bone-side down, in a heavy-duty aluminum foil pan. Add water (or apple cider) to the pan, ensuring it covers the bottom. (5 minutes)

04

Step
2 mins

Tightly cover the pan with aluminum foil, crimping the edges to create a sealed packet. (2 minutes)

05

Step
2 hrs

Place the foil pan on the preheated grill and cook for 1 hour 30 minutes to 2 hours 30 minutes, checking the water level every hour and adding more as needed to prevent the ribs from drying out. The ribs should be very tender. (90-150 minutes)

06

Step
5 mins

Carefully remove the foil from the pan. Brush the ribs generously with your favorite BBQ sauce. (5 minutes)

07

Step
30 mins

Continue cooking the ribs on the grill, uncovered, for another 30 minutes, basting with BBQ sauce every 10 minutes, until the sauce is caramelized and sticky. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center of the meat should read 190-203°F (88-95°C) for maximum tenderness. (30 minutes)

08

Step
10 mins

Remove the ribs from the grill, let them rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

For even more flavor, try adding a few wood chips (hickory or applewood) to your grill's smoker box.
Don't be afraid to experiment with different BBQ sauces to find your perfect flavor profile.
Make sure to remove the membrane on the bone-side of the ribs for maximum tenderness. This can be done by sliding a knife under the membrane and pulling it off with a paper towel.
Resting the ribs is crucial! It allows the juices to redistribute, resulting in even more tender and flavorful ribs.
