For extra flavor, try adding a pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg to the batter. If you don't have agave nectar, maple syrup or another liquid sweetener can be substituted. To keep waffles warm while cooking the rest of the batch, place them in a preheated oven at 200°F (95°C). For a richer flavor, use melted coconut oil instead of canola oil.
