Follow The Directions

01

Step

Prepare the Turkey and Vegetable Mixture: In a medium skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Saute the chopped onions, celery, and garlic until softened and translucent, about 5-7 minutes. Add the chopped turkey and broccoli; cook for another 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and set aside. (Total time: ~12 minutes)

02

Step

Make the Creamy White Sauce: In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Remove from heat and whisk in the flour, salt, and pepper until smooth. Return to low heat and gradually whisk in the milk, ensuring there are no lumps. Cook, whisking constantly, until the sauce thickens enough to coat the back of a spoon, about 8-10 minutes. (Total time: ~10 minutes)

03

Step

Assemble the Lasagna: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9x13 inch casserole dish. Spread a thin layer of white sauce on the bottom of the dish. Arrange a layer of oven-ready lasagna noodles over the sauce. Top with half of the turkey and vegetable mixture, followed by another layer of white sauce. Sprinkle 1/2 cup of the shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce. Repeat the layering process with the remaining turkey mixture, sauce, and noodles. Top with the remaining 1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese. (Total time: ~20 minutes)

04

Step

Bake the Lasagna: Cover the casserole dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and continue baking for another 15-30 minutes, or until the lasagna is bubbly and the cheese is melted and lightly golden brown. (Total time: 45-60 minutes)

05

Step

Rest and Serve: Remove the lasagna from the oven and let it stand for 10-15 minutes before serving. This allows the lasagna to set and makes it easier to slice. (Total time: 10-15 minutes)

For a richer flavor, use a combination of mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
Feel free to add other vegetables to the turkey mixture, such as mushrooms, bell peppers, or spinach.
If you don't have oven-ready noodles, you may need to pre-cook the lasagna noodles according to the package directions.
