Follow The Directions

01

Step

In a large bowl, whisk together rice vinegar, fish sauce, lime juice, palm sugar, red pepper flakes, and black pepper. (2 minutes)

02

Step

Marinate chicken in the rice vinegar mixture and set aside while preparing the remaining ingredients. (5 minutes)

03

Step

Separate rice noodles in warm water for about 5 minutes, then drain. (5 minutes)

04

Step

Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium heat. Cook and stir garlic and onion until onion is soft and translucent. (5 minutes)

05

Step

Increase heat to medium-high. Add chicken and marinade to the onion mixture. Cook and stir until chicken is no longer pink and the sauce begins to thicken. (7-10 minutes)

06

Step

Stir in rice noodles, oyster sauce, soy sauce, red bell pepper, tomatoes, green onion, and basil leaves. Cook and stir until the sauce is evenly distributed and the noodles are tender. (5 minutes)

For an extra layer of flavor, consider adding a splash of dark soy sauce along with the regular soy sauce.
Adjust the amount of red pepper flakes to suit your spice preference. Start with a smaller amount and add more to taste.
If Thai basil is unavailable, regular basil can be used as a substitute, although the flavor will be slightly different.
To prevent the noodles from sticking together, toss them with a little oil after draining.
