Follow The Directions

01

Step

Gather all ingredients. (5 minutes)

02

Step

In a cocktail shaker, combine 1 cup of ice, pineapple juice, orange juice, blackberry liqueur, banana liqueur, light rum, dark rum, and grenadine. (2 minutes)

03

Step

Close the shaker tightly and shake vigorously until well-chilled, about 15-20 seconds. (1 minutes)

04

Step

Fill a hurricane glass (or a tall glass) with the remaining 1 cup of ice. (1 minutes)

05

Step

Strain the cocktail mixture into the ice-filled glass. (1 minutes)

06

Step

Gently float the high-proof rum on top of the drink. (1 minutes)

07

Step

Garnish with an orange slice. Serve immediately and enjoy! (1 minutes)

For an extra layer of flavor, try using homemade grenadine. It's surprisingly easy to make and adds a depth of flavor that store-bought versions can't match.
Adjust the amount of grenadine to your liking. If you prefer a sweeter drink, add a bit more. If you like it less sweet, use a smaller splash.
Be careful when floating the high-proof rum – pour it gently over the back of a spoon so it doesn't mix too much with the rest of the cocktail.
If you don't have a hurricane glass, any tall glass will work just fine.

I found the high-proof rum to be a bit too strong for my taste, so I reduced the amount slightly. Still delicious!
