For a richer flavor, use homemade cornbread. Adjust the amount of reserved cooking liquid to achieve your desired consistency. Feel free to experiment with different types of cheese. Cheddar or Monterey Jack would also be delicious. If you don't have cream of chicken soup, cream of mushroom or celery can be substituted.
