Follow The Directions

01

Step

Heat grapeseed oil in a large skillet over medium heat. (2 minutes)

02

Step

Brown pork chops in the hot oil, searing both sides to a golden-brown perfection. (5-7 minutes total)

03

Step

In a separate container, whisk together water, dry white wine, soy sauce, ground ginger, ground paprika, ground turmeric, salt, and ground black pepper.

04

Step

Pour the mixture evenly over the browned pork chops. It's perfectly fine if the chops aren't fully submerged.

05

Step

Cover the skillet with a tight-fitting lid or aluminum foil, leaving a small gap for steam to escape. Simmer gently, without flipping the chops, until all the liquid has evaporated and the pork is cooked through. (1 to 1 1/2 hours)

06

Step

Ensure an instant-read thermometer inserted into the center of a chop registers 145 degrees F (63 degrees C).

For enhanced flavor, marinate the pork chops in the wine-soy sauce mixture for at least 30 minutes before browning.
If the liquid evaporates too quickly, reduce the heat to low.
Serve these succulent pork chops with a side of mashed potatoes or rice to soak up the flavorful sauce.
