Follow The Directions

01

Step
5 mins

In a wok or large skillet, place the pork strips over medium heat. Cook, stirring frequently, until browned on all sides (approximately 5 minutes).

02

Step
1 mins

Pour in the soy sauce and water, then add the minced fresh ginger and coarsely ground black pepper. Increase heat to medium-high and bring the mixture to a boil.

03

Step
40 mins

Once boiling, reduce the heat to medium, cover the wok or skillet, and let it simmer until the pork is tender (about 40 minutes).

04

Step
10 mins

Add the watercress and bean sprouts to the wok. Continue to simmer, covered, until the greens are tender yet still retain a slight crispness (approximately 10 minutes).

05

Step
5 mins

Gently mix in the cubed tofu. Cover and simmer for an additional 5 minutes to allow the tofu to absorb the flavors of the sauce.

For a spicier kick, substitute the black pepper with 1-2 teaspoons of red chile garlic paste.
Ensure the watercress is thoroughly dried to prevent a watery sauce.
Firm tofu works best in this recipe, but extra-firm can also be used. Avoid silken tofu as it will fall apart during cooking.
Serve hot over rice or noodles for a complete and satisfying meal.
