Carefully strain the broth through a fine-mesh sieve lined with cheesecloth into a heat-proof jar or container. Discard the spent vegetables and herbs. (10 minutes)

Allow the broth to cool slightly before sealing and refrigerating. The broth will keep for up to 5 days in the refrigerator or can be frozen for longer storage.

For an even richer flavor, consider roasting the mushrooms before adding them to the broth.
