Bake in the preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the puffs are golden brown and the mozzarella is melted and gooey. (12 minutes)
07 Step

3 mins
Let cool for a few minutes before serving. The mozzarella will be very hot! (3 minutes)
For an extra burst of flavor, try adding a tiny piece of sun-dried tomato or a sliver of fresh basil to the center of each puff along with the mozzarella.
Don't overfill the biscuits with mozzarella, or they may burst during baking. Ensure the dough is tightly sealed around the cheese.
If you don't have pizza sauce on hand, marinara sauce works just as well. You can even use pesto for a different flavor profile.
These puffs are best served warm, when the mozzarella is at its melting peak. They can be reheated, but the texture won't be quite the same.

Jul 14, 2023I found that brushing the biscuits with a little melted butter before baking gave them an even more golden and crispy crust.
