Follow The Directions

01

Step

Prepare the Roast: Generously rub the beef roast with garlic salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste. (5 minutes)

02

Step

Combine Liquid Ingredients: In a separate small bowl, whisk together the Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, and red wine vinegar until well combined. (2 minutes)

03

Step

Slow Cook: Place the seasoned roast in the bottom of your slow cooker. Pour the Worcestershire mixture evenly over the roast. Sprinkle the dry onion soup mix over the top of the roast. Carefully pour the water into the slow cooker around the roast, avoiding pouring it directly over the top. (5 minutes)

04

Step

Cook to Perfection: Cover the slow cooker and cook on Low heat until the roast is no longer pink in the center and is easily pierced with a fork, approximately 4 to 6 hours. (4-6 hours)

05

Step

Create the Gravy: Once the roast is cooked, carefully transfer the flavorful sauce from the slow cooker into a saucepan. Warm the sauce over medium heat until it begins to bubble gently. In a small bowl, create a slurry by mixing the cornstarch with a tablespoon of cold water. Slowly drizzle the cornstarch slurry into the bubbling sauce, stirring constantly until the gravy thickens to your desired consistency. (10 minutes)

For a deeper flavor, sear the beef roast in a hot skillet before placing it in the slow cooker. This will create a rich crust and enhance the overall taste.
If you prefer a thicker gravy, use a bit more cornstarch. Start with a small amount and add more as needed until you reach the desired consistency.
Serve the roast beef sliced with a generous helping of the flavorful gravy. It pairs perfectly with mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or a simple green salad.
