Bake in the preheated oven until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. This should take approximately 12-15 minutes, depending on the thickness of the fillets. (12-15 minutes)

For a deeper hazelnut flavor, toast the chopped hazelnuts in a dry skillet over medium heat for 3-5 minutes, or until fragrant and lightly browned. Be careful not to burn them!
Feel free to experiment with other citrus zests like orange or grapefruit for a unique twist.
A squeeze of fresh lemon juice over the baked salmon before serving enhances the brightness of the dish.
Serve with a side of roasted vegetables or a fresh salad for a complete and balanced meal.
