Follow The Directions

01

Step

In a large skillet, heat over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook, breaking it apart with a spoon, until browned and crumbly (5-7 minutes). Drain off any excess grease.

02

Step

Stir in water, tomato juice, tomato paste, minced onion, chili powder, sugar, oregano, garlic salt, and salt into the skillet with the browned ground beef. Cover the skillet and bring the mixture to a boil. Once boiling, reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer, stirring occasionally, until the flavors have melded together (about 30 minutes).

03

Step

Add the spaghetti to the beef mixture, ensuring the strands are separated as much as possible. Cover the skillet again and simmer, stirring frequently to prevent sticking, until the spaghetti is tender and has absorbed most of the liquid (about 30 minutes).

For a richer flavor, consider browning the ground beef with a tablespoon of olive oil.
Adjust the amount of chili powder to your preferred level of spice. A pinch of red pepper flakes can also add a nice kick.
If the sauce becomes too thick during simmering, add a little more water to reach your desired consistency.
Garnish with fresh parsley or grated Parmesan cheese before serving for an extra touch of flavor and visual appeal.
