For an extra layer of flavor, consider adding a pinch of red pepper flakes to the garlic butter. Freshly grated Parmesan cheese will provide the best flavor. These garlic knots are best served warm, but can be reheated if needed.
Transform ordinary pizza dough into delectable, buttery garlic knots. These savory treats are surprisingly simple to make, boasting a mellow, irresistible garlic flavor that will leave everyone craving more.
Allow the pizza dough to reach room temperature for approximately 30 minutes to ensure easy handling.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a cookie sheet to prevent sticking.
On a lightly floured surface, roll the dough into a rectangle. With the shorter side facing you, cut the dough into twelve 1 1/2-inch wide strips. Halve each strip lengthwise.
Twist each strip and tie into a loose knot. Arrange the knots on the prepared cookie sheet.
In a small pan over low heat, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes, taking care not to burn the garlic. Remove from heat and stir in the chopped parsley. Generously brush the garlic butter mixture over the knots.
Bake in the preheated oven until the knots are lightly golden brown, approximately 15 minutes. Remove from the oven and brush with the remaining butter mixture. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Serve warm and enjoy!
For an extra layer of flavor, consider adding a pinch of red pepper flakes to the garlic butter. Freshly grated Parmesan cheese will provide the best flavor. These garlic knots are best served warm, but can be reheated if needed.
