Follow The Directions

01

Step
3 mins

Hydrate the Cranberries: In a small bowl, submerge the dried cranberries in boiling water. Allow them to plump up for approximately 3 minutes, then drain well. (3 minutes)

02

Step
5 mins

Create the Jalapeno Cranberry Base: Combine the hydrated cranberries, fresh jalapeno, pickled jalapenos, pickling brine, diced red onion, and sugar in a food processor. Pulse until the mixture is finely chopped and well combined. (5 minutes)

03

Step
10 mins

Combine and Chill: In a mixing bowl, thoroughly blend the cranberry-jalapeno mixture with the softened cream cheese and grated Asiago cheese until a smooth and homogenous dip is formed. Transfer to an airtight container and refrigerate until chilled, allowing the flavors to meld. (10 minutes + chilling time)

For a milder flavor, remove the seeds and membranes from the fresh jalapeno before chopping.
Adjust the amount of sugar to your liking, depending on the sweetness of your cranberries.
If you don't have Asiago cheese, Parmesan cheese makes a good substitute.
Serve with crackers, tortilla chips, or fresh vegetables for dipping.

Be careful not to over-process the cranberry mixture, or it will become too watery.

I like to use a combination of red and green jalapeños for a more colorful dip.

Next time, I'm going to try adding a little bit of chopped pecans for some added crunch.

This is so easy to make and tastes just like the Costco version.
