Follow The Directions

In a medium saucepan, combine orange juice and sugar. Heat over medium heat, stirring until sugar is completely dissolved. (Approximately 3-5 minutes)

Add cranberries to the saucepan and cook, stirring occasionally, until the cranberries begin to pop and soften. (Approximately 5-10 minutes)

Stir in diced pears, honey, and cinnamon sticks. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, allowing the flavors to meld and the sauce to thicken slightly.

Remove from heat and transfer the cranberry sauce to a serving bowl. (Approximately 2 minutes)

Allow the sauce to cool to room temperature. It will continue to thicken as it cools. Remove cinnamon sticks before serving.

For a more intense orange flavor, add the zest of one orange along with the juice.
Adjust the amount of honey to your preference, depending on the sweetness of your pears and desired level of sweetness in the sauce.
This cranberry sauce can be made up to 3 days in advance. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
