Follow The Directions

01

Step

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). (5 minutes)

02

Step

Butterfly the turkey breast: Slice it horizontally down the middle, being careful not to cut all the way through. Open it like a book and lay it flat.

03

Step

Season the turkey: Sprinkle the inside of the turkey breast with oregano, cumin, salt, and pepper.

04

Step

Layer the filling: Arrange a single layer of spinach leaves on one half of the turkey breast, then top with a layer of feta cheese. Repeat the layers of spinach and feta.

05

Step

Fold and wrap: Fold the other half of the turkey breast over the filling, sealing it in. Wrap the entire turkey breast with bacon slices, overlapping them slightly to ensure complete coverage. Secure with toothpicks if necessary.

06

Step

Bake: Place the bacon-wrapped turkey breast in a baking dish and season with salt and pepper.

07

Step

Cook in the preheated oven until the turkey is no longer pink in the center and the juices run clear. (30 minutes) An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read at least 165 degrees F (74 degrees C).

08

Step

Broil (optional): Turn on the broiler and broil the turkey until the bacon is crisp on each side, about 2 minutes per side. Watch carefully to avoid burning.

09

Step

Rest: Let the turkey rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

For best results, use thick-cut bacon.
You can substitute other cheeses for feta, such as goat cheese or mozzarella.
Add a layer of sun-dried tomatoes or roasted red peppers to the filling for extra flavor.
Ensure the internal temperature of the turkey reaches 165°F (74°C) to ensure it is fully cooked.

My family loved this recipe. I will add more feta next time since we are big fans of it.

This recipe was a hit! The bacon kept the turkey so moist, and the spinach and feta were a perfect combination.

  • Weldon Heathcote

The broiling step really made the bacon crispy. I did not have feta and used goat cheese instead. It came out great!

Easy to follow and delicious! Will definitely make this again.

I added a little garlic powder to the spice mix and it was fantastic!

I tried this with turkey tenderloins instead of the breast, and it worked perfectly! Cooking time was reduced, of course.
