For a thicker chili, mash about 1 cup of the cooked beans against the side of the slow cooker before serving. Garnish with your favorite toppings such as sour cream, shredded cheese, chopped cilantro, or avocado slices. To make this chili vegetarian, substitute the chicken with an equal amount of cooked cannellini beans or diced sweet potatoes. If you prefer a smoother chili, use an immersion blender to partially blend the soup before serving.
