Follow The Directions

01

Step
2 mins

In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, brown sugar, Sriracha, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic powder, and black pepper. (2 minutes)

02

Step
5 mins

In a separate bowl, combine half of the marinade with the pork pieces. Ensure the pork is well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to fully penetrate. Reserve the remaining marinade for later use with the noodles. (5 minutes)

03

Step
5 mins

Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a rolling boil. Add the udon noodles and cook for 2 minutes. Add the broccoli florets to the pot to blanch them lightly. Continue boiling until the noodles loosen and separate, approximately 1 minute more. Strain the noodles and broccoli thoroughly and set aside. (5 minutes)

04

Step
7 mins

Heat olive oil in a wok or a large, deep pan over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, add the chopped onion and garlic. Stir-fry until the onion becomes translucent and fragrant, about 5 minutes. (7 minutes)

05

Step
8 mins

Add the marinated pork, bean sprouts, and julienned carrot to the wok. Stir-fry until the pork is cooked through and no longer pink, approximately 5 minutes. (8 minutes)

06

Step
5 mins

Add the drained udon noodles and broccoli to the wok. Pour the reserved marinade over the noodles and toss to ensure the noodles are evenly coated and absorbing the flavors, about 2 to 3 minutes. (5 minutes)

07

Step
3 mins

Stir in the diced green onion and toss lightly to combine. Cook for another 1 to 2 minutes, allowing the green onion to wilt slightly and release its flavor. (3 minutes)

For an extra layer of flavor, try adding a splash of Shaoxing wine to the marinade.
Adjust the amount of Sriracha to your preferred level of spiciness.
If fresh udon noodles are unavailable, dried udon can be used. Cook according to package directions before adding to the stir-fry.
Feel free to substitute other vegetables such as bell peppers, snap peas, or bok choy.
Garnish with sesame seeds and a drizzle of chili oil for added visual appeal and flavor.

The marinade is incredible. I let the pork sit overnight, and it was so tender and flavorful.
