Follow The Directions

01

Step

Prepare the Broccolini: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the broccolini and blanch until bright green and slightly tender-crisp, about 2 minutes. (2 minutes)

02

Step

Drain the broccolini immediately and transfer to a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking process. Once cooled, drain well and set aside. (5 minutes)

03

Step

Infuse the Oil: In the same pot or a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant and lightly golden, being careful not to burn it, about 1 minute. (1 minute)

04

Step

Sauté the Broccolini: Add the drained broccolini to the skillet with the garlic-infused oil. Cook, stirring occasionally, until heated through and slightly tender, about 3-5 minutes. (3-5 minutes)

05

Step

Season and Serve: Squeeze the juice of one lemon wedge over the broccolini. Season with red pepper flakes, sea salt, and freshly ground black pepper to taste. Toss well to combine. (1 minute)

06

Step

Serve immediately, with additional lemon wedges on the side for squeezing.

For extra flavor, consider adding a splash of white wine vinegar or a sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese at the end.
Broccolini can be substituted with regular broccoli florets if preferred; simply adjust cooking time as needed.
If you like a bit of char on your broccolini, finish it under a broiler for 1-2 minutes after sautéing.
Add toasted pine nuts for added crunch and richness.
For a spicier kick, add more red pepper flakes or a pinch of cayenne pepper.
