In a separate bowl combine the citron, prunes, raisins and pecans. Stir in the flour and toss so that everything is coated with flour.

To the butter mixture add the fruit and nut mixture along with the bread crumbs, cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice. Mix well and transfer to prepared dish.

Bake in preheated oven for 50 to 55 minutes, or until well browned.
For an extra layer of flavor, consider soaking the prunes and raisins in rum or brandy for a few hours before chopping.
Ensure all ingredients are at room temperature for optimal blending.
If you don't have candied citron, you can substitute it with orange or lemon zest for a citrusy note.
Check for doneness by inserting a toothpick into the center. If it comes out clean, the pudding is ready.
Let the pudding cool slightly before serving for easier slicing.
