Add zucchini noodles to the pan and continue to cook and stir until the zucchini noodles are tender-crisp, about 3-5 minutes more. Be careful not to overcook the zoodles, as they can become watery.

Sprinkle with freshly grated Parmesan cheese, salt, and freshly ground black pepper to taste. Remove from heat and let sit for 3-5 minutes to allow the flavors to meld before serving.

For a richer flavor, toast pine nuts and add them along with the Parmesan cheese.
To prevent the zucchini noodles from becoming too watery, you can lightly salt them and let them sit in a colander for about 15 minutes before cooking. Pat them dry with paper towels before adding them to the pan.
If you don't have fresh pesto, store-bought pesto can be used, but fresh pesto will provide the best flavor.
Add grilled chicken or shrimp for extra protein.
