Follow The Directions

01

Step

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 2-quart baking dish.

02

Step

In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Gently sauté the lobster meat in the butter until it just begins to turn opaque, being careful not to overcook. Remove the lobster from the pan with a slotted spoon and set aside. (5 minutes)

03

Step

Into the remaining butter in the saucepan, whisk in the flour and dry mustard until smooth. Gradually whisk in the heavy cream and milk. Continue to cook, stirring constantly, until the sauce has thickened and is smooth. (5 minutes)

04

Step

Return the lobster meat to the saucepan and stir to combine. Add the torn bread pieces and stir until evenly distributed throughout the lobster mixture. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish.

05

Step

Bake in the preheated oven until the casserole is bubbly around the edges and the top is golden brown. (20-25 minutes)

06

Step

Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.

For an extra layer of flavor, consider adding a splash of dry sherry to the sauce along with the lobster.
Panko breadcrumbs, tossed with melted butter, can be used as a topping for added texture and crunch.
Ensure the lobster meat is not overcooked during the sautéing process, as this will result in a tough casserole.
