For a richer flavor, try browning the ground beef with a tablespoon of ghee instead of butter. If you prefer a spicier kima, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or a finely chopped green chili along with the other spices. Fresh peas can be used instead of frozen, but may require a slightly longer cooking time. Serve with a dollop of plain yogurt or raita for a cooling contrast to the spices. Kima also tastes great with naan or roti.
