For an extra layer of flavor, toast the walnuts lightly in a dry skillet before chopping. Adjust the amount of blue cheese to your preference. Gorgonzola or another creamy blue cheese can be substituted. If you prefer a lighter dressing, substitute half of the mayonnaise with plain Greek yogurt. This salad is best served cold. It can be made a day ahead and stored in the refrigerator.
