For a thinner consistency, add a few drops of water at a time until you reach the desired consistency. If the icing becomes too thick, add a tiny amount of water (a drop or two) to thin it out. Be careful not to add too much, as this can make the icing runny. For vibrant colors, use gel food colorings, as they are more concentrated and won't alter the icing's consistency as much as liquid food colorings.
