For a deeper flavor, consider using a mix of wild mushrooms in addition to, or in place of, the standard sliced mushrooms.
A splash of sherry or Madeira wine can be substituted for the white wine for a unique twist.
If the sauce becomes too thick, add a little more chicken broth to reach your desired consistency.
