Follow The Directions

01

Step

In a skillet over medium heat, crumble the ground beef. Add the taco seasoning and cook until the beef is browned and crumbly. Drain any excess grease. (Approximately 5 minutes)

02

Step

Lay the large tortilla flat on a clean surface. Spread the seasoned ground beef evenly in the center, leaving about 2 inches of space around the edges. Generously dollop nacho cheese sauce over the beef.

03

Step

Carefully place the tostada shell on top of the cheese. Spread sour cream evenly over the tostada, then top with shredded lettuce and diced tomatoes.

04

Step

Position the small street-size tortilla directly on top of the lettuce and tomato mixture. Gently but firmly, fold the edges of the large tortilla inward, tucking and pleating them around the sides and top of the small tortilla to create a sealed, multi-layered wrap.

05

Step

Place the crunchwrap, sealed-side down, in a dry skillet over medium heat. Cook for 3 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy. Carefully flip the crunchwrap using a spatula and cook for another 3 minutes, or until the other side is also golden brown and crispy. Serve immediately.

For an extra layer of flavor, try adding a thin layer of guacamole or pico de gallo before sealing the crunchwrap.
Feel free to customize the toppings to your liking! Black olives, jalapenos, or a sprinkle of shredded cheese would all be delicious additions.
Ensure the skillet is heated to medium before adding the crunchwrap to prevent it from sticking. If you are concerned with sticking, use a non-stick skillet or add a small amount of oil to the pan.
If the tortilla is not sealing, moisten the edge with a little water

The folding technique took me a few tries to get right, but it's totally worth it. So delicious!
